Some performances in the next few weeks:

The Australian Chamber Orchestra, directed by Richard Tognetti, will give the Australian premiere of Prelude (after Monsieur de Sainte Colombe) on 4 May at their annual festival at TarraWarra Museum of Art. They’re also playing pieces by Ida Moberg, Schubert, John Luther Adams and Brahms.

On 16 May, Beautiful Caged Thing will be performed in London for the first time, by St Paul’s Sinfonia, with soprano Philippa Boyle, conducted by Andrew Morley. Also in the concert are pieces by Joseph Martin Kraus, Sibelius and Malcolm Arnold.

Lastly, my String Quartet will be performed as part of the Behind the Mirror concert series in Berkhamsted on 2 June. The musicians are Jonathan Morton (violin) Clio Gould (violin) Oliver Wilson (viola), and series director Clare O’Connell (cello). They’ll also be playing Edmund Finnis’ First String Quartet and Ravel’s Quartet.
